Vacation style doesn’t mean you have to have a gaziliion pieces to work in a different look everyday. It’s all about mixing and matching! Teach your kids how to maximize their wardrobe with the essentials and to experiment with color and print.
Here are some tips to get your kids’ trip wardobe planning in gear:
- Color block! Don’t be afraid to mix colors to maximize your options. For example, if you’ve never tried mixing a lime green top and a lavender skirt, there’s no better time than summertime!
- Mix prints. Plaids and stripes in the same colors, florals and polka dots – it’s fun to experiment a little bit.
- Try coordinating wardrobes with a color story in mind: All brights, all pastels, all orange/blue/white, for example.
- For girls, try simple cotton dresses. It’s the easiest way to dress. All you have to do is add shoes and accessories.
